Shrenik Shah – Cancer Winner in 23rd year as #differentlyABLED, Laryngectomee & global patient leader & motivational speaker.

I am a businessman and an international motivational speaker based out in Gujarat. I have seen the world, I would say. I have traveled across 37 countries so far.

I defeated cancer of the voice folds 22 years ago, with my will to win, coupled with a dedicated team of doctors who left no stone un-turned to aid my fight against the disease.

In 1997 I was diagnosed with voice folds cancer, stage IVA. At that time I had severe breathing problem and survival seemed bleak.

At 44, as the only earning member with wife,2 sons I didn’t know how things would pan out with an aggressive disease as such.

As first step, I bravely accepted the diagnosis, undergone total Laryngectomy, tracheostomy, Radiation resting all faith on my will power and the treatment I was prescribed. And result – a resounding victory over an advanced stage cancer.

Post the treatment I confidently started speaking with artificial device called Electro Larynx, producing precisely audible sound.

I never feel it is an artificial means of giving voice to my thoughts. I love my voice and it is my identity & premier asset for life time..

With Relentless pursuit I wish to live my life to touch hearts of 1 Million Cancer patients to turn them into warriors by offering a hand of HOPE to hold, help heal and comfort by motivating them world over.

Post Cancer I have learned so much from University of experience & living! Acceptance, courage, confidence, troubleshooting & i learned living in the Moment.

I express deep gratitude to one & all who were, are & will be part of my Cancer journey.

I am grateful to God for giving me another life. I spend every moment of life without any regret and seeking any sympathy.

I am fairly well connected with large number of National & International Oncologists,including Presidents of IFHNOS,USA & FHNOS, India, President elect of UICC,Switzerland & President of Asian Society of Head & Neck Oncology & more than 20k Cancer patients & care givers from 43 Cancer support groups, guiding & advising them.

Recently participated in Choir for ENT Cancer UK annual conference in London.

I have given numerous professional live presentation with slides in India & abroad as global patient leader & motivational speaker covering following topics : (My audiences are cancer community as well as medical students, researchers & Oncologists & like minded people in India   :
